Thanks, NCMA, for another brilliant Art in Bloom. What a great way to connect with art works familiar and new, to learn about flowers and arranging techniques, and to meet delightful people (it’s a friendly crowd!). The floral-patterned dresses, shirts, etc., also make attending lots of fun! Sarah wore grey, white, and blue this year (lame!), but Lilla and Linda did their part in floral spring frocks.
We think including outdoor sculptures in the pairings is a great idea! The red bamboo piece paired with the “Ulalu” sculpture blew our minds for color drama, scale, clean lines and restrained floral palette.
And we loved the Hamilton Hill-sponsored pairing of Egungan Masquerade Costume and arrangement by Once Gathered/Jenna Armstrong. We were tickled pink and all the other colors, too.
So many mediums, so much talent!
